Nintendo has a potential Game of the Year candidate with Zelda Breath of the Wild and everything about the game spells amazing. The base game itself is huge enough already but it looks like there’s more in store for everyone in the future. Right under our noses, Nintendo could’ve been teasing a massive Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC already.

Hyrule in Zelda Breath of the Wild is a massive and excellent take on the world we’re all familiar with. It’s the largest game in the entire series and it’s probably one of the biggest in the history of gaming. Redditor ionlyhavetwohands’ new discovery makes us believe that a massive Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC will further expand Hyrule with new areas to explore.

If players inspect the map, they’ll be able to see why the redditor thinks a massive Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC will come. If players scroll to the uppermost part of the map, they’ll eventually come to a point where the map no longer moves as it has already reached the limit.

However, when scrolling to the bottom, players will be able to see that there’s an obvious huge void below. Instead of having the map end at a certain point, the bottom part will instead be empty and it could be filled with at least an area that’s a third of the base map.

Players are speculating that the void will be filled with a new areas someday and the possible additions are already set up to connect with the pre-existing areas in the game. The Gerudo territory, for one, could connect the rest of Hyrule to the upcoming area. Another thing that Nintendo could do is to let Link get a boat in Lurelin Village so that he can travel to other continents.

If Nintendo does add a new landmass in a future Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC, players can already expect a lot of features from it. There’ll be new Shrines to complete, new areas to explore and possibly new equipment and items to grab.

Since there are still DLCs to come this year, it’s likely that Nintendo will expand the map in the game’s second year. Whatever the case, things are looking good for the game already and a map expansion would make the Zelda Breath of the Wild even better.
