News for YouTube’s very own children friendly Android App YouTube Kids

YouTube is the most popular video streaming network today. It attracts viewers of all ages from the elderly to the next generation young ones. However, recent report from The Guardian suggests that, the video streaming website owned by Google is now planning to launch its very own kid-friendly App?YouTube Kids.

YouTube Kids App for Android can keep your young ones entertained for hours! But there?s a catch though, it is only available in the U.S., for now.

Kids these days are pretty much different from the ones back in the ?90s. With all the technological gadgets we have like the internet, game consoles and wearable devices, it is hard not to worry sometimes about the things they might learn or see?if left unsupervised. Luckily, the most famous video streaming website YouTube is now launching their very own App for Android that targets young audiences possibly from ages 12 and below.

According to Forbes, the App will feature different kinds of kiddy shows from the famous Sesame Street, Thomas the Tank Engine, National Geographic Kids, Dreamworks TV and many more.

That may be exciting but sadly, the App is only going to be available in the U.S. for now but as The Guardian reported, the company will roll out their App across other countries in the future. Not just outside the U.S. but it was also reported that the App will also roll out on different platforms and the first OS outside of Android that was mentioned is their main competitor, Apple?s iOS.

Report from The Guardian also reveals the three features that you can expect from the App, other than the ability to view kid friendly contents:

  • Timer ? parents can control the duration for when the App will shut down automatically after a certain amount of time.
  • Tight filter with the search result ? when searching for words that are not suitable for underage audiences, the App will instead encourage viewers to search for something else.
  • Voice search function ? for younger kids who doesn?t know how to read or write yet.
  • And possibly many more cool features to come

Isn?t that exciting? I bet the young ones will probably enjoy this new and upcoming free App from YouTube.
