Xiaomi Redmi Pro Preorders Have Started; Costs $299 With Free Shipping Across The World

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro is the high-end variant of the Redmi 3 that was launched at the start of this year. It comes with improvements in various departments such as display, chipset, storage, RAM, camera and security. The Xiaomi Redmi Pro preorders have started on Gear Best with a pricing of $299.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro is the first smartphone from the company to arrive with an OLED display. The 5.5-inch screen of the Redmi Pro carries support for full HD resolution.

It is powered by MediaTek Helio X20 chipset that features a 2.1 GHz deca-core processor. It is coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The Redmi Pro also comes in two other storage variants like 64 GB (with 3 GB RAM) and 128 GB (with 4 GB) that are powered by Helio X25 chipset.

According to Xiaomi, it is the most powerful Redmi smartphone ever. It is a dual-SIM phone that a hybrid SIM slot. The secondary SIM slot supports up to 128 GB of microSD card.

One of the most attractive features of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro is its rear-facing dual camera system. It includes a f/2.0 aperture 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 lens that carries support for PDAF. For depth sensing, it is coupled with a 5-megapixel shooter from Samsung. The rear camera is supported by dual-tone flash. The front houses a 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera.

Other Xiaomi Redmi Pro features include USB Type-C, a fingerprint sensor under Home button, Android Marshmallow OS, 4G LTE and VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, v4.2 Bluetooth and a huge battery of 4050 mAh. The smartphone wears a brush aluminum chassis sports chamfered edges. It measures 151.5 x 76.2 x 8.15 mm and its weight is 174 grams.

Gear Best is selling the Helio X20 edition of Xiaomi Redmi Pro with a price tag of $299 with free shipping across the world. It is selling the smartphone in color variants like silver and gray. The preorder of Redmi Pro began on Aug. 10 and it will come to an end on Oct. 10.

Rumors have it that the Chinese firm is working on a smaller version of the phone called Xiaomi Redmi Pro Mini. The company had recently released the Xiaomi Mi VR and Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. It is also expected to release the much hyped Xiaomi Mi Note 2 within this year.
