Xiaomi is expected to launch Xiaomi Mi S and Xiaomi Mi 6 ?in the first half of 2017. A leaked image has teased the major features of the device.
Xiaomi Mi S Features and Rumors
A Chinese Weibo user posted images of the Xiaomi Mi S showing the device?s features. The phone looks similar to the Mi series previous phone. It has the Mi logo placement on the back and the physical home button on the front side.
The device is 128.3×64.2×8.2-mm in size. It will carry a full display with full HD (1920x1080p) resolution and a 2.5G glass shield. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821. It will also carry Adreno 530 graphics engine, 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and a 2,600mAh battery.
There will be a 12 MP primary camera with Sony IMX378 sensor and an f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, 4K video capture, and dual-LED flash. Xiaomi is also adding a 4MP snapper with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone will be able to record a full HD (1080p) video, according to the International Business Times. Xiaomi wants to give the iPhone SE a tough competition.
Xiaomi Mi 6 Features and Rumors
Xiaomi Mi 6, on the other hand, is likely to pack a 5.2-inch display with a 4K resolution (4096×2160 pixels). The phone will carry a 23MP rear camera, along with a 7MP front shooter. A leaked image has shown a Xiaomi phone with a 5.2-inch screen made with a 2.5D curved glass with a metallic back. The phone will have a 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Xiaomi Mi 6 will be featuring a dual-rear camera setup along with a 4MP front shooter. The other rumored features are USB Type-C port and 3000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
Leaked images of the Mi 6 have also teased a home button with a fingerprint scanner on the bottom. The camera is seen on the top left side on the back of the device along with a single dual-LED flash, according to Indian Express.
Xiaomi is likely to launch its two phones at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017. However, the company has not released any official detail. So, readers are advised to take the information with a pinch of salt.
