Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is the first ever laptop from the Chinese company. It was announced at the end of the previous month. The notebook is now available on preorders in China and the retailers in the country are selling the notebook to countries all the world.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air comes in two screen sizes of 12.5 inches and 13.3 inches. Both the models sport the same lightweight design and metallic chassis. According to tech experts, the design of Mi Notebook Air is a hybrid of Microsoft Surface Book and Apple MacBook Air.

GearBest is now started the preorders of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5. It has a thickness of 14.8 mm and its weight is 1.28 kg. The screen sports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is powered by Intel Core M3-6Y30 processor that works at a max speed of 2.2 GHz. It also features Intel HD graphics.

The device features 4 GB of RAM. The SSD storage provided on the device is of 128 GB. As far as connectivity ports are concerned, it includes a USB Type-C, HDMI port, v4.1 Bluetooth, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

It is equipped with a lower resolution camera 1.0-megapixel. It features a huge 5000 mAh 37h battery that is enabled with fast charging.

It is not known as to when Xiaomi will release the Mi Notebook Air in the U.S. or other parts of the world. However, the laptop can be purchased through Chinese retailers like GearBest.

The retailer has started the preorders of Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch edition for $627 along with free shipping service across the world. ?The preorders will come to an end on Sept. 11 and the notebook will be shipped to the customers starting from Sept. 13.

One needs to be aware of the fact that the seller is offering the notebook in two editions of Windows 10, namely Home Chinese version and home English version (not activated).

Buyers may who purchase the Chinese edition can change language through internal setting. Even after changing the language to English, some text may appear in Chinese. However, the retailer has stated that it will not compromise usage or downloaded apps. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3 is currently unavailable for purchase.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro is also available on preorders. Rumors are rife that the company will soon announce its next flagship, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. It is said to sport Galaxy Note 7 like design.
