Apart from the heavily-rumored Xiaomi Mi 5s, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro is also gearing up for release.
Initial rumors suggested that the internal configurations of the Mi Note 2 Pro will be backed by 6GB of RAM. While OnePlus 3 is the first top-end device to flaunt this configuration, Samsung is also gearing up to release a Galaxy Note 7 variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage space onboard.
But now,?Android Pure says one of the versions of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro will feature a whopping 8GB of RAM. Are we taking the RAM war too far?
This particular configuration came to light via a screenshot apparently showing the ?About Phone? page of the upcoming device.
Apart from the RAM configuration, other specs have also been revealed. Under the hood, a quad-core 2.6GHz CPU will reportedly power the device. Rumor has it that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset will be part of the configuration. The SD821 is very similar to the widely-used SD820, but it is slightly over-clocked.
Furthermore, a recent Weibo report suggested that the upcoming Note device will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Plus, Xiaomi?s latest MIUI 8 will apparently run on top of Android.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro release date could be in a couple of months after the tech giant introduces the Mi 5s on September 27.
Speaking of Xiaomi Mi 5s, this device will apparently come with a 5.15-inch display and 1,080 x 1,920 pixel FHD screen resolution. A pressure-sensitive Apple-like Force Touch capability will also be onboard.
Under the hood, Qualcomm?s latest Snapdragon 821 chipset will reportedly power this handset with a quad-core CPU in tow. Adreno 530 GPU will take care of the graphics.
The Chinese tech giant is believed to release three variants of the Mi 5s. One of the models will come housed with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage space. The second version will reportedly feature a solid 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The last variant, which is the high-end model, will flaunt a generous 6GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage space.
