Microsoft is expected to announce new games for Xbox One Backwards Compatibility for the next months at Gamescom 2016. It is possible that they will confirm the arrival of some of the highly anticipated titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Dead Rising, and many more.

The event will run from August 21. The Xbox One Backwards Compatibility library in September could feature the biggest lineup of games. In August, the company a number of titles in the first two weeks of the month. If the company follows the same pattern in the next month and beyond, there are chances that some of the games will be confirmed at Microsoft?s Gamescom 2016 conference.

In August, the lineup of games did not satisfy gamers. Fans were disappointed because Microsoft did not include the titles they were waiting for. The company has said that it will keep adding titles in the backwards compatible lineup as soon as they are ready to be played on Xbox One. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has appeared multiple times in the Xbox One backwards compatibility library, and it seems that Microsoft will eventually make the title available for Xbox One players.

The company has not shared any specific details if they?ll announce anything related at the event. However, the company?s head of games marketing Aaron Greenberg revealed that the usage of the console increased in the last month, and people are increasingly coming to the Xbox One platform. Microsoft will host its ?Xbox Fan Fest? every day throughout the event, the official blog reads.
