By on

As the year 2017 starts, gamers will be seeing more more games get Xbox One Backwards Compatibility support. However, Microsoft has not disclosed any information yet about the titles coming this 2017. So, to give you an idea of what to expect this month, here are some of the top requested games.

Last year, fans requested Microsoft for some games from Xbox 360 to be playable on the Xbox One. These titles were then made available by the company as part of their BC games last year. Some of them include Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty Black Ops, Bioshock,?and Skate 3.

This move suggests there will be at least one highly requested game that will become available this month. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has also teased that “January looks pretty good for BC”.

On the Xbox feedback,?players have already expressed?the games they want to support backwards compatibility. The top-requested game for?Xbox One Backwards Compatibility is Call of Duty: Black Ops II. As of this writing, it has already received 205,719 votes from gamers across the globe. Following it is Skyrim that has 171,853 votes. Third on the list is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with 164,589 votes. Sitting on the fourth spot is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with 116,038 votes. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, on the other hand, is the last title that has garnered more than a hundred thousand votes with 113,255.

Although these games are going to be a great addition for backwards compatibility support, Microsoft stressed that it is still not guaranteed. ?We can?t promise every title to be available, but we?re working hard with partners to make your favorite Xbox 360 titles playable on Xbox One.”

As of now, Microsoft has not confirmed any titles yet that they are planning to add next in the BC lineup. There are already over 300 backwards-compatible games on the Xbox One and more highly requested games will likely come soon. The only?thing left to do is wait for official announcements from Microsoft.
