Red Dead Redemption 2

Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners have a lot to rejoice about as Microsoft will be having a grand sale come July 5. There are a lot of Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles selling with huge discounts soon and one of the eye catching ones is Red Dead Redemption. Players have asked for a backwards compatibility to Rockstar?s classic, but there?s still none yet. Is the game?s inclusion in the sale leading up to its Xbox One backwards compatibility soon?

The game is listed currently as an On Demand title in the sale, while there are many others listed down in backwards compatibility. It will sell from 65%/75% off. Although not currently listed as playable for the Xbox One, the fact that Microsoft acknowledges the title as an On Demand title hints that the game will receive the much awaited sequel soon.

Even before rumors about Red Dead Redemption 2 were leaked, fans were already asking for the first title to be playable in the Xbox One. There are also rumors about the game eventually coming soon to the Xbox One, but none has been addressed by Microsoft yet.

It?s likely that Microsoft may be waiting for the next entry in the series before releasing the game with Xbox One backwards compatibility so that it?ll gain from the hype. As with Fallout 3 coming free with pre-orders of Fallout 4 for the Xbox One, the first title may come bundled with Red Dead Redemption 2 as a pre-order bonus as well.

Regardless of when Red Dead Redemption will be playable on the Xbox One, we?re expecting the feature to launch soon thanks to the requests of fans and newcomers alike. It might only be a matter of time before Microsoft allows backwards compatibility for the game so it?s best to look for your Xbox 360 copies of the game now or save up a few dollars for it when it releases.
