Xbox Live Gold Members to Get Free Games This July

We first reported yesterday how PlayStation Plus Members would be getting their free lineup of games for July here. Not to be outdone, Microsoft has also revealed that Xbox Live Gold Members would get their own free games this July. There are three new free games in total for the month of July, namely, The Behemoth?s BattleBlock Theater, Gotham City Impostors, and the Xbox One debut of Drinkbox Studios? Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition. The announcement was made today by Microsoft.

BattleBlock Theater

BattleBlock Theater is available for the Xbox 360 and has an original price of $14.99. The game will be available starting from July 16 until July 31. The game can be played as single player or through coop mode in order to free your friends and save Hatty Hattington! You?ll need to jump, solve and battle your way through a mysterious theater that is inhabited by highly technological felines.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition by Drinkbox Studios makes its debut to the Xbox One via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program. The game originally retails for $14.99 and will be coming on July 2. Players take on the role of Juan Aguacate, a masked Mexican wrestler who is on a quest to save the President?s daughter from the hands of the evil Carlos Calaca. It?s more than your average challenging brawler as it features cleverly hidden secret areas, a vibrant world of wonders that are built around the Mexican land of the dead, as well as a creative ability system that rewards players for exploration.

Gotham City Impostors

Gotham City Impostors is a 6 vs. 6 person multiplayer shooter that gives players the opportunity to rebel against the conformity of the masses as they customize their own characters. Gamers can pose as amateur vigilantes or villains and create their own Bats and The Jokerz characters by using unprecedented customization options which include homebrewed gadgets, a wide range of traditional and imagined weapons, and of course, crazy costumes. The game will be available from July 1 to July 15 for the Xbox 360. The game originally retails for $14.99.
