Xbox Games With Gold

During E3 2016, Microsoft announced new additions to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility system. However Microsoft has yet to reveal the new set of free games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers for July. Here are some good titles that we might receive as part of Xbox Games With Gold next month.

Halo Wars

The Halo series is one of Microsoft?s exclusive titles known for its first-person shooter gameplay. However, Halo Wars is a real-time strategy game that features playable units using known vehicles and characters. While Halo isn?t known for real-time strategy gameplay, it?ll be a breath of fresh air from all the other first-person shooters out there. Besides, console real-time strategy games are also rare nowadays.

This game already was already given away by Microsoft in Germany and Japan, and with the sequel coming out soon, it?ll be great for those in the west to get the game for free. Additionally, Xbox 360 owners can play it while waiting for its upcoming sequel on Xbox One and the game?s definitive edition on Xbox One and PC.

Forza Motorsport 5

Similar to Sony?s Gran Turismo, Microsoft?s Forza Motorsport series features luxury cars and formal track racing instead of having drag racing and criminal underworld elements common in recent driving games in the market. Forza Motorsport 5 is the first game from the franchise that was made available on the Xbox One. It?s already three years old, so it?s a strong candidate for making a return as part of the Xbox Games with Gold this July.

L.A Noire

Despite never receiving a sequel, L.A Noire was one of the best detective and law enforcement simulation games out in the market. With investigations running from gathering evidence in crime scenes and reading facial expressions, L.A Noire is a detective game that puts players in the shoes of a law enforcement agent.

Final Fantasy 13

Though regarded as one of the worst Square Enix entries, this game enjoys modern refinement of recent technology unlike its turn-based and online multiplayer predecessors. More than collective nostalgia, this seven-year-old game is good enough practice for Square Enix?s upcoming Final Fantasy entries. Its battle systems may help players prepare for the upcoming Final Fantasy 15 which will be available on both Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

What titles do you think we?ll get in the Xbox Games with Gold program next month? Feel free to share your comments below and stay tuned to TheBitBag for more updates.
