Xbox Games with Gold has always been a treat for those who purchased the Xbox One. Aside from two current-gen titles, players also have two Xbox 360 games that are usually backwards compatible with the Xbox One, which usually meant four titles instead of just two.
While the backwards compatible titles have been pretty decent thus far, there are a couple that have been announced but have yet to be given the treatment. These are Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite and Skate 3. All games are critically acclaimed, and fans want to see them become backwards compatible titles, especially since they have been in progress for the longest time.
Since there don’t seem to be plans for a new Skate title, fans would like the option to replay the most recent game in the series, Skate 3. While Microsoft has announced that it would become backwards compatible, it has yet to be released as so. This is why it would be perfect as part of the Xbox Games with Gold, since fans have been demanding it for quite a while.
The Bioshock series has also been in progress for the backwards compatibility treatment but is not yet available so far. Since these games are going to be repackaged as the Bioshock Collection for current-gen consoles, it seems like fans won’t have to wait too long to play them.
Obviously, this is disappointing news for those who already own Xbox 360 versions of the game. While Microsoft did state that they would be coming to the console as backwards-compatible titles, fans might have to wait a while before they can use their 360 copies of the games as it looks to be be on hold indefinitely. They can always buy the aforementioned HD collection, but that is beside the point.
It would be a nice surprise to see all of these titles become Xbox Games with Gold titles for August 2016, even if the chances of that happening are slim. They have been in high demand for the longest time, and it would be a nice reward for the patience of the fans who have been wanting to replay them.
