With the August month almost here, subscribers to Xbox Games with Gold service are pretty much excited for the next in line free games that Microsoft is expected to unveil for Xbox One and 360 Xbox consoles.

Though Microsoft has not updated their list so far yet, rumors continue to brew as the gaming community speculates as to which of the titles should be offered for free.

Rumors have it that Microsoft might make triple-A game titles available for the month of August. The game high atop the list is Rockstar Games? Red Dead Assumption that will be free for all Gold members. The game was supposedly part of Xbox Live Games with Gold July lineup but wasn?t included in the final list due to unknown reasons. The 2010 open world, western action-adventure video game is a critically acclaimed title and has shipped over 14 million copies.

There are reports that a sequel to the game is being planned which could probably be seen at the Gamescom in August. So it seems only logical that publishers would want their old game to be offered alongside the unveiling of the new, so as to generate much interest.

There are also expectations among gamers for the?Dead Rising 3?to be part of the August release. According to Australia Network News, people on gaming forums have high hopes for the game especially since the sequel to the game, Dead Rising 4, was announced at the E3 2016 that is expected to be released in December. However, the critically acclaimed title from Capcom is not on sale in any of the stores, so chances of it making to the list are negligible.

Another title expected is Square Enix?s Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. Another open world action-adventure title which dates back to 2012 and chances of it featuring in the list seem pretty high since it is already sold cheap in retail stores.

The gameplay involves player controlling Wei Shen, a Chinese-American police officer who goes undercover and infiltrates the Sun On Yee Triad organization. Though the game received positive reviews for its combat, voice acting, experience system and depiction of the city; it was criticized for its graphics, camera and animations.

There is also Microsoft?s own Ryse: Son of Rome that was developed by Crytek Frankfurt. This launch title, however, failed to make an impression with gamers. Microsoft could at least impress its Gold subscribers by adding this game to the list. Ryse: Son of Rome was released on November 22, 2013.

Other possible games that are expected are Sonic Generations (Sega is planning a sequel as well) and Metal Gear Rising.

The above mentioned titles are just fan favorites and part of regular rumors and speculations. Microsoft may or may not include them in their Xbox Games with Gold list so it is better to wait and watch while the actual list comes hopefully within this week.

In the meantime, gamers should pick last month?s titles with only a few days remaining before the offer ends. Xbox One owners can still download the July offerings until July 31, which include The Banner Saga 2, Tron: Evolution and?Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Tumble Stone will be available until August 15. It is also better to check the deals available via the Xbox Live service. Several interesting options are available on a cheap price and good discounts.
