X Factor Australia 2015 Round-up And Predictions: Contest Is Not A Talent Fest But A Popularity Competition?

By on

In the latest episode of X Factor Australia, singing teacher Dan Hamill, was the first contestant kicked off this year. The 30-year-old from Melbourne failed to cut through with his take on Alecia Keys? Empire State of Mind in a sing-off against 15-year-old Georgia Denton.

Talking about his elimination he said, ?X Factor has changed my life, it?s been an opportunity to step up.Thank you I?ve had a ball,? reported?Daily Telegraph.

The report further stated, fellow judge Chris Isaak said, ?This is a situation like a Robin Hood movie, Dan I love your singing, you could be the next James Bond, you?re a good-looking guy and you have a style that I think is fantastic but it also is a little boutique style.?

There is an element of this that this isn?t just a singing competition. It?s kind of a popularity thing as well. It?s not just based on your performance, it?s based on your personality, how marketable you are, you know. With those boys, they could get on stage and break wind, and the audience would love them. Here are the remaining 11 contestants:
