Wynonna Earp Season 2 spoilers suggest that there will be a Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover happening. Many fans actually want to see a crossover between the two shows and it looks like they are on the same page as the showrunners. Will we see Buffy travel to Purgatory?

According to International Business Times, the new horror fantasy series from Syfy can be considered as today?s Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This comes with the fact that both shows subtly address issues in gender and identity in a horror/fantasy backdrop.

Creator Emily Andras said in an interview with SpoilerTV that she would love to see a late 30s or 40-year-old Buffy, at the age she would be right now, past her years in the early 2000s series. ?I would love for her to land in purgatory and have to team up with Wynonna Earp,? Andras said. ?That, to me, would be the ultimate. So if you could ask Joss Whedon and he?s cool with that. Not sure he is going to be super cool with it but that would be my fan girl dream.?

While Melanie Scrofano who plays Wynonna added, ?We could do a training scene like she did with Dolls but with Buffy. That would be amazing.?

A Wynonna-Buffy team up sounds awesome and fans of the 90s to early 2000s show will just slay for that to happen. Well, maybe they won?t even have to because everyone seems to be totally down for it. Now all we need is Buffy creator, Joss Whedon?s, confirmation.

Meanwhile, even though we are already expecting a second installment in the works and possibly, a Buffy crossover, Syfy has yet to announce the Wynonna Earp Season 2 renewal. But fear not, as the show wouldn?t leave fans with a massive cliff-hanger at the Season 1 finale if they?re just going to pull the plug, right? Plus, the show gained positive reviews for its first season run so it will be highly likely that a Season 2 will be happening.

The series? first season ended with Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) touching a puddle of black goo and getting possessed by an unknown entity. She pulls a gun out and the scene fades to black, then a gunshot is heard in the distance.

After that huge cliff-hanger, the series definitely needs a second season.
