Fans are eagerly awaiting the Wynonna Earp Season 2 renewal announcement and it looks like we will get the official announcement at the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2016.

The Syfy horror series will have a cast panel and signing at the SDCC 2016 on July 23, Saturday at 2:30 p.m. David Ozer, President of IDW Entertainment, which produces the series, announced this via Twitter: ?The @WynonnaEarp cast panel Saturday July 23 at 2:30p at San Diego Comic Con. We?ll also have cast signings and more #WynonnaEarp #SDCC2016.?

And, by ?more? he means the Season 2 renewal announcement that #Earpers have been waiting for, right? We sure hope so! It will definitely be exciting to see a new show make it to the SDCC panel for the first time and fans will surely have lots of questions for the cast.

According to the SDDC Blog, Ozer also announced the cast members who will be joining the panel: Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna), Dominique Provost-Chalkley (Waverly), Tim Rozon (Doc Holliday) and Shamier Anderon (Agent Dolls).

The series had a successful panel at the WonderCon this year which might have paved the way for their SDCC appearance.

Wynonna Earp had a successful first season run and became known for its fast-paced storytelling and very likeable characters, not to mention Scrofano being the perfect badass chick, Wynonna. It also made a huge impact on the LGBT community for its LGBT representation through Waverly and Officer Haught?s (Katherine Barrell) romance.

Showrunner Emily Andras told TheWorkPrint that the LGBT representation has been important in her writing even before the Syfy series. ?I was lucky enough to have good results with the LGBT fandom on another show, Lost Girl,? Andras said, ?We had a very sophisticated and passionate lesbian fanbase on that show and it made me realize that the LGBT community craves better representation that is complicated and real and not just dumbed down.?

She continued on discussing Waverly?s character who manages to steal the spotlight from her big sis and title character, Wynonna. ?I knew since conception that Waverly was going to be exploring her sexuality,? Andras explained. ?If every character has their secret, I think Waverly?s secret, unknown even to herself, is that she?s probably not straight. I don?t want to put her on the spectrum yet because I think she is still exploring that as a character.?

As for getting a second season, Andras said, ?Were up to me, I?d have heard we were getting 100 episodes. I just have to say: keep talking to Syfy. Keep tweeting about your love of the show. Email Syfy. Rewatch episodes. Spread the word if you love Wynonna Earp. All of this engagement does nothing but help us. If you want more Wynonna Earp, we are poised like jungle cats to give you more. We just need your help.?

Syfy badly needs to renew this show and hopefully, we will hear an announcement at their San Diego Comic Con panel this July 23.
