E3 2017 is still ongoing, and wrestling fans are hoping to see WWE 2K18 in some shape or form. We know that WWE Games will be appearing in GameSpot’s panel later in the day, essentially confirming its presence. Then again, we’ve seen some WWE mobile games lately, so we will have to wait and hope it’s appearing.

GameSpot listed WWE as part of their panel on June 15, which takes place from 2:30pm till 3:30pm PDT. That’s a full hour, which means that we might see a 2K18 announcement, as well as mobile game updates. Here is hoping the panel doesn’t disappoint, since the actual E3 event has bummed out a number of gamers.

Making The Switch?

Most fans are expecting to see WWE 2K18 on PS4 and Xbox One, since the series has been coming yearly. However, a leak from an Australian retailer has suggested that the game will be Nintendo Switch bound as well, though it has since been deleted. If true, this will be the first WWE game on the Switch, so there might be plenty of expectations.

2K Games has already confirmed NBA 2K18 for the Nintendo Switch, so this should be a nice followup from them. Should the wrestling simulator come to Switch, expect WWE Games to make a fuss about it on the GameSpot panel. With a possible new system getting the game, this could also mean that 2K Games will ditch the PS3 and Xbox 360.

What To Expect

Fans of these games know it’s too early to expect a WWE 2K18 gameplay trailer, though it would be nice. WWE usually likes to save gameplay reveals before or after SummerSlam, to build hype for their fall release. However, we could see the reveal of the game’s cover star or maybe even hear about possible new features.

One feature fans want to return this year is Showcase Mode, which was absent from last year’s WWE 2K17. Now that The Undertaker has retired from in-ring competition, WWE Games could pay tribute to the legend via a career Showcase. This would be similar to the awesome Stone Cold Showcase from WWE 2K16, which pretty much everyone liked.

WWE 2K18 will be coming out this year for the PS4, Xbox One and maybe the Nintendo Switch. Expect updates on the GameSpot panel, since WWE Games will be there for a full hour on June 15. WWE 2K17 is available now on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
