No Flying Mounts Allowed

In World of Warcraft, when the Warlords of Draenor expansion is launched, gamers will no longer be permitted to fly their mounts. However, Blizzard says that the ban is not permanent. The developer assured that the players will be able to fly their mounts again in the near future.

Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.1

A WoW community manager explained that the flying mounts may be permitted on the first patch of the expansion, which will be officially known as Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.1.

Right to Fly Mounts Not Automatic

Players may need to undergo some ?tests? or meet some kind of ?requirements? in order to regain the right to fly their mounts.

On Battle.net forums, Bashiok, a community manager made this statement, ?Maybe its gold, maybe it?s some kind of epic quest, maybe something more straightforward,?But we?re staying open changing that post-release if it seems like it?s working out really well and we want to keep rolling with it.?

Blizzard seems to be??open to suggestions from the players of WoW, regarding the use of flying mounts.

Bashiok further added, ?I?m digging that there seems to be a pretty reasonable mix of beta experiences here though? definitely looking forward to feedback when we get to the max-level content too?.

First Use of Flying Mounts

In 2007, World of Warcraft first introduced gamers to the use of flying mounts, and it’s usual for Blizzard to ground the flying mounts whenever a new expansion pack is introduced. To regain the right to fly again, a player will need to shell out an amount in gold and reach a certain level.

However, in the Warlords of Draenor expansion pack, gamers will not be given the chance to fly when the expansion is released.

About Warlords of Draenor

It is the fifth expansion in the World of Warcraft, and better known to most gamers as WoD or Warlords. Blizzard announced its existence during BlizzCon 2013 and it is scheduled for release before the end of 2014.

Blizzard is currently offering pre-purchase options to interested players.
