With the previous success of the Wolfenstein: The New Order, “Nazis” are now demanding for a sequel to dominate the world.
Yes, there are talks about a possible sequel for ?Wolfenstein: The New Order. According to its developer, Swedish developer MachineGames, they are now preparing for a possible sequel and have a clear idea of what it will look like. From an interview with Giant Bomb, creative director Jens Matthies said;
?We would love to do a sequel, we have a very, very clear idea of what we accomplish with this, and we want to accomplish with a sequel?.
The outcome of the sequel will depend highly on the financial success of the first game. If the Wolfenstein: The New Order will be a great hit on the market, they will be more convinced to develop the sequel for the game. Wolfenstein: The New Order was released last month for all ?platforms ( including PC) and received a decent review from the critics.
According to game sources, Wolfenstein was the fourth best-selling game of the month as of ?May 20th, behind MLB14: The Show, Mario Kart 8, and Watch Dogs. Bethesda, the same publisher of the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, did not announce the official sales tally of the game.
Matthies also noted that the studio will be focusing on the pre-production if it will be doing the sequel. It took a rough 3 years and a half for the development of The New Order. Determining the time needed to make a beautifully polished game, he will make sure that the upcoming sequel will be much more exciting than the first.
Matthies did not mention any specific details regarding the planned sequel and left the fans drooling.? Though this is not the first time that Matthies mentioned about making a sequel, the recent statement that he made reassured the fans that there will be a sequel to the game.
