CD Projekt Red has just rolled out a new patch for the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt across the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC players received the patch a few days earlier. Officially numbered 1.22, The Witcher 3 update focuses on quashing many of the new bugs and performance issues introduced by the Blood and Wine expansion DLC, which was released last month.
The Witcher 3 Update Brings Fixes for Blood and Wine
The patch notes lists an extensive number of tweaks to many Blood and Wine quests. The full details can be viewed here. Take a look at some of the highlights noted by CD Projekt Red:
- Fixes issue whereby Corvo Bianco upgrades would not complete if players left Toussaint while an upgrade was in progress.
- Fixes issue whereby Roach would not move during the quest “The Warble of a Smitten Knight.”
- Fixes issue whereby Roach’s tail could vanish.
Unfortunately, it looks like The Witcher 3 update, patch 1.22, has opened a whole new can of worms. On the Witcher forums, a user by the name of Pug has outlined several new issues with Blood and Wine?s epilogue.
?I and a number of other people on this forum have pointed out that there are a myriad of issues with the epilogue, ranging from simple bugs that should be easy to address, to more complex issues like the restrictive daily routines of the npcs at Corvo Bianco that detracts from immersion and seems antithetical to CDPR’s commitment to “never doing things in half measures,” he said.
Be warned that there are numerous spoilers regarding the game?s ending, so read at your own risk. Hopefully the devs can look into these issues and get a solution out fast. For more news and updates on The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine, keep it right here on the BitBag.
