Running Man revamp in 2017?

Last October, long-time Running Man cast member Gary bid the show farewell. He was a mainstay for six years.

As for the show?s remaining stars, only Kang Ho Dong has confirmed that he is discussing his tenure with showrunners.

The uncertainty surrounding the other cast members has raised speculations among fans. As per insiders, the show is supposedly planning to revamp starting January 2017.

Possible new cast

If rumors about the show?s reformatting are true, then it is possible to make drastic changes in the cast?s direction.

The previous hosts have been catering to an older audience. As such, it is possible for new faces to give the show a younger, fresher vibe.

If showrunners will decide to cast younger Hallyu stars, one of the more realistic prospects would be Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung. The two recently gained thousands of new fans for their hit K-drama Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.

Yoo Jung also recently guested in the variety-reality show 2 Days 1 Night, which has a fun vibe just like Running Man. During her appearance, the actress had an impromptu video call with Bo Gum. Even if the sequence was not scripted, they were able to carry their portion well.
