The highly awaited free voice call feature of WhatsApp is now coming to Windows Phone

WhatsApp just released the version that fully supports the free voice call feature for Android last week. With this update, you don?t need any sort of invitation to use the feature?s full potential. After you have updated the app, you can now then see a new tab that says ?Calls? and from there, you can now call your friends who are also using the app with the same version.?This one is definitely more convenient than the invitation method.

Apparently, Android OS is not the only operating system that will receive this update. Included on that report, iOS will also receive the free voice call feature update for WhatsApp ?a few weeks after the Android roll out.?

However, Windows Phone users shouldn?t feel left out with all of this news. It was confirmed recently that the Windows operating system will also be included to receive this patch.

According to the report from wmpoweruser, it was confirmed there that the VOIP feature of the app is now heading to Windows operating system. The quoted message from a customer support team said that ?WhatsApp Calling for your platform is still in the works. Unfortunately, we cannot comment on any future release timelines but we appreciate your interest in WhatsApp Calling.?

The real question to ask now is ?which will receive the voice call feature first, Apple?s iOS or Microsoft?s Windows?? Who knows, but one thing is for sure though, the update will come to these two OSes, probably in the near future.

Now that we?ve got news for the WhatsApp voice call feature for the Android, iOS and Windows, there?s still one more operating system left that needs confirmation and that is the BlackBerry phones. Sadly, there?s still no official announcement yet whether they will also receive this feature but since all the major operating systems are receiving one, it should be logical that the app developers should also include BB on their list.
