What to Expect from The Legend of Korra

The new game is an adaptation to the Nickelodeon series and is very much ready to spill eye-popping graphics, detail-oriented warrior artistry, and series-coined sound effects as designed by Platinum games. The game developer has already established a reputation of extravagance when it comes to their other creations like Metal Gear Revengeance, The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta.

The players will be utilizing different strengths of Korra in 4 elements: earth, water, air and fire. One can quickly switch between these elements in fighting the character’s familiar enemies based on the first 2 seasons of this Nickelodeon series.

The lavish graphics approach and treatment that Platinum Games has put into Korra makes the whole transition from one bending skill to another really seamless. The combat scenes become greatly enjoyable with the “intended delays and real quick graphic pauses” everytime the player charges up a certain release of strength, something which can be seen also in the Streetfighter video games, ?only leveled up this time, graphically speaking.

For anybody who is new to Korra, meaning someone who has not really followed the cartoon series, it becomes equally interesting and curious what the character can do in the game, so it’s pretty much left to their own discovery. But for someone who is already adept with Korra’s skills, the player can say that this game can be pretty amazing; in fact “satisfying” for others, as they are now the ones in control of what they have normally seen in the cartoon’s combats.

The more interesting thing is that Korra starts the games without her bending abilities and gets to acquire them as the game continues. The whole process of regaining these abilities can be very exciting since “combos” can be done later on after they are acquired.

The Legend of Korra is ready for download by Fall of 2014 spanning towards the last quarter for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Critics around the internet agreed on the game’s impressive visual and sound direction, making it a realistic approach to the Nickelodeon series.
