People have been clamoring for Wentworth season 5 spoilers. However, many fans may not know that Foxtel is removing or killing off its SoHo channel, the home of popular television series Wentworth, Outlander and A Place to Call Home.

Although Foxtel announced on July 21, 2016 the renewal of Wentworth?s fifth season, the possible release of the new season that happens around May of every year may be delayed. The Wentworth season 4 finale left its viewers with a seemingly dead Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) with a fully breathing able-bodied Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson) and Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe). This has left fans restless as to what will happen next due to the show writers? bold move of ?killing off? Smith.

No new news has surfaced about the filming of the new season except that it was supposed to start on August 1 and that Jo Porter, executive producer of Wentworth, found it a pleasure working with Cormack. Obviously, this leads to the conclusion that Smith is really dead in Wentworth. However, previous interviews with Porter suggest that it is unlikely the news about Smith?s death is true because of the secretive nature the show wants to uphold.

News of Foxtel closing SoHo did not help the unrelenting ordeal of Smith?s dead or alive situation. At the beginning of August, Foxtel announced that starting October 1 SoHo will be removed and the shows they house will be moved to the new channel ?Binge?. According to Foxtel, cable and satellite subscribers will not have to worry about extra costs. However, subscribers under Foxtel Play, who are subscribed to SoHo?s Drama pack, will have to upgrade to the Premium Movies and Drama pack. This will cost an extra AU$20.

?Binge and Showcase will both be available in the Premium Movies and Drama tier only and SoHo will be removed from the programming line-up,? a Foxtel spokesman says, according to news.com.au. ?For shows like Wentworth, Foxtel Play subscribers will need to add the Premium Movies and Drama tier?.
