If you thought Bruno Mars was funky, think again. Wait until you see the new Wonder Woman trailer mashup of the upcoming Patty Jenkins? film, now set with the 1975 TV series theme song. Sebastian Hughes uploaded the wistful clip this weekend on Youtube, which would definitely bring you down memory lane (well, at least for those old enough to remember).
What you can see is a combined footage of Gal Gadot from trailers of the upcoming Wonder Woman film as well as her unveiling in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This nostalgic tune was played over the opening credits of the original Lynda Carter series that lasted three seasons on CBS and ABC.
Travel Back In Time
The upcoming superhero chick flick is set during World War II. It follows the story of Diana Prince, played by Gadot. She grew up on a secluded island and was trained as an amazing warrior. On the other hand, Steve (Chris Pine) is an American pilot whose plane crashes on the island. He tells her of the ongoing conflict going on around the world. She wants to save the world and risks leaving her home to do just that.
In an interview with EW, Gadot shares her thoughts about the character she’s playing. She said, “I feel like Diana is really accessible. It’s very easy to relate to her. She has the heart of a human so she can be emotional, she’s curious, she’s compassionate, she loves people. And then she has the powers of a goddess. She’s all for good, she fights for good, she believes in great. I want to be her. And in Wonder Woman, she has this naivete’ in her. It isn’t stupid, it’s magical. I would want to be naive like that again.?
