Do you want to be a hero in the eyes of your kids? Then bring them this weekend to Minecraft?s 2015 Minecon in London!
Mojang?s creatives and building video game which skyrocketed to cosmic fame among kids and adults alike, will be holding their first Minecon conference at Excel London Contemporary Events and Convention Center since the title was bought by Microsoft last year. Just like other Minecons, tomorrow and Sunday?s event is expected to bring together the people behind the famous game that has hooked kids from all over the world, and of course, 10,000 registered legions of fans.
Stampy and friends
Aside from meeting Minecraft creator, Notch, one of the highlights of the event is getting to know Minecraft?s YouTube sensation stars like Stampy, Captain Sparklez, and the guys from The Diamond Minecart, who will be giving out tips on how to be successful in YouTube as well.
Mojang staff will also be hosting a session talking about some of the new things to watch out for in Minecraft, this includes the exciting Minecraft: Story Mode ? a narrative version of the game that will be launched in partnership with Telltale Games.
Speed Mincreaft and other panels
Minecraft partners specially in merchandising and other after-market services will also be displaying their own wares during the event. This includes brands like Lego, Mattel, and Egmont who have created toys using Minecraft as inspiration. Other game developers of children?s games will also display some of their products targeted towards younger customers.
Aside from these, various competitions and games shows are also expected like a Speed game for Minecraft players, and of course, the costume competition which proved to be really popular during the conference. So expect more Steves, Alex, Creepers, Endermen, Zombies, Spiders, and Herobrine walking around the hall.
The event is actually a fan gathering more than anything else, but if we base it on the Minecraft Holo Lens presentation of Microsoft during the last E3 expo (rumored to be showcased during the conference as well) we?re thinking Minecraft fans has a lot to wow about.
