Great news Watch Dogs fans! Microsoft has announced the availability of the game on Xbox One and Xbox 360 starting today.

Major Nelson of Microsoft made the announcement on his official blog saying fans can now purchase Watch Dogs from the Xbox Game Store.

In Watch Dogs, players will assume the role of Aiden Pearce, a new type of vigilante who, with the help of his smartphone, will use his ability to hack into Chicago?s central operating system (ctOS) and control almost every element of the city. Chicago has the country?s most advanced computer system ? one which controls almost every piece of city technology and holds key information on all of the city?s residents.

Aiden Pearce, is a brilliant hacker, but also a former thug, whose criminal past lead to a violent family tragedy. With his ability, Aiden will be able to tap and access the city?s omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control systems such as traffic lights or public transportation to stop a chase, and more. You (Aiden Pearce) will use the city of Chicago as your ultimate weapon and exact your own style of revenge.

Meanwhile, if gamers who are waiting for so long for the launch of the new upcoming Watch Dogs game were pleased, others are not as there are players who are now experiencing issues including a login problem in the PC version (that Ubisoft is aware of).

Reports said that the official Watch Dogs Twitter account acknowledged the issue, “We are experiencing issues with the authentication services. Players may experience long delays when trying to login in-game.”

Moreover, complaints about the inability to connect to Uplay are getting bigger as players are actually prevented from playing the game.

To address the issues, Ubisoft has issued a statement that reads, “Dear fans, with the release of Watch Dogs we are seeing an exceptional increase of activity. While we have taken many measures to limit the impact to our servers, they are not responding as fast as usual. Rest assured our team is monitoring closely our servers and taking every measure so that our services remain up. Thank you for your patience.”
