Recently, the new Watch Dogs 2 update 1.11 rolled out and introduced new areas in its overworld. More than just new locations, players also found a yacht with an Assassin’s Creed-related Easter Egg inside. Here’s what we know so far about the new locations in Watch Dogs 2 update 1.11
In the Watch Dogs 2 update 1.11 patch notes, Ubisoft confirmed new areas along with preparations for the Human Conditions DLC. So far, fans are left to discover the new locations in San Francisco Bay area. The three Human Conditions DLC missions, Automata, Bad Medicine, and Caustic Progress may be set in these new areas.
As Ubisoft suggested, players will have to find and note these new areas on their own. Players must use every tool in their arsenal to search every nook and cranny of the Watch Dogs 2 map and find these new areas. It might be best to organize searches with friends or other players to cover more ground faster.
According to VinSilver’s thread on the Watch Dogs 2 subreddit, a yacht with a Russian Flag can now be found in Watch Dogs 2 update 1.11. The yacht’s passengers will shoot on sight if they see Marcus in the boat. Potentially, these might be members of the Russian mafia as confirmed in the No Compromise DLC In Watch Dogs 2.
Assassin’s Creed Easter Egg
In the yacht, fans will also find a paused screen of some video in the yacht. Reddit user TheProtatoAssassin posted an image of this paused movie or footage. Fans say that it’s a screenshot of an upcoming Assassin’s Creed game from Ubisoft. Previously, the company took a break in releasing yearly Assassin’s Creed entries and promised that the next entry will come a year after. Currently, Ubisoft still hasn’t provided updates about the next Assassin’s Creed entry, so this might actually be a tease for that.
DLCs so far
Watch Dogs 2 will have the Human Conditions DLC in an upcoming patch. The Watch Dogs 2 update 1.11 is just setting the stage for these DLC’s events. According to the Season Pass, the Human Conditions DLC is the second Watch Dogs 2 DLC, and the next one, No Compromise, will be its last expansion. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see how Ubisoft is planning to use the new areas in the Watch Dogs 2 update 1.11 in upcoming DLCs.
