Following Sunday?s midseason finale, it?s a long wait ahead for the return of The Walking Dead season 7 after the winter hiatus. Instead of ending on a huge cliffhanger, the episode 8 essentially wrapped up things for Rick Grimes and family. After trying to work out things with Negan for the first half of the season, Rick is back planning to set things right.
The Walking Dead S08E09 U.S., U.K. air date
AMC network has yet to announce the release date for The Walking Dead season 7?s return, according to reports. However, several sites have pegged the U.S. broadcast of episode 9 on a Sunday, February 12, 2017 on AMC. Meanwhile, FOX has confirmed that, in the U.K., season 7B will kick off on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 9 p.m.
Rumors indicate a big delay for the show ahead of its scheduled February launch date, according to iTechPost. The report, however, didn?t cite any reasons so far as to the delay. However, there seems to be no substance to these baseless rumors and The Walking Dead can be expected right on time.
The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 9 Spoilers
While there is over two months to go until the series? return, a trailer teasing the future for Rick and company was released. It seems that Rick won’t waste any time in enlisting the Kingdom to their war. At one stage, his group can be seen standing opposite King Ezekiel (Khary Payton).
?Alexandria, the Hilltop, the Kingdom – our communities have something in common; we all serve the Saviours,? he tells the monarch before saying, ?Join us in fighting.?
The trailer then shows the group taking on the Saviors in their home turf. The much awaited war is finally coming and we?re super excited.
Another interesting tidbit that was not included in the trailer hints even more mystery. AMC released a sneak peek clip for season 7 episode 9 that shows us someone spying in the darkness. Though it remains unknown who he or she is, the person is wearing the same boots we saw in episode 8. The character might probably be the one who is behind stashing the resources on the boat Rick and Aaron raided.
Karl and Eugene to Die?
Meanwhile, speculations as to further deaths of characters are rife. This time Eugene is seemingly on the hit list of Negan. Last episode saw Negan taking Eugene with him after learning he could make bullets.
IBTimes indicates that Eugene would meet a similar fate as to one of the comic book characters. A character named Holly was captured by Negan. Later, she returned to Alexandria with a bag covering her head. It is soon realized that she is dead and have been turned into a zombie. Probably Eugene too would be turned into a zombie.
Another possible character to die is Carl Grimes. Rick?s son has so far survived even though he hasn?t cared very much about the dangers. Apparently rumors of his death started after his father captioned a facebook post: ?7-year contract completed! Grateful to AMC, Cast & Crew, TWD fan base and especially Chandler for always being 100% dedicated.? However, it is still likely that his contract will be renewed and Carl will survive the war.
The Walking Dead season 7 episode 9 returns February 12, 2017 on AMC.
