The Voice Top 12 performances are over and done with and now the fate of the contestants are in the hands of the viewers. Here’s to hoping your fave vocalists all made it through! Read on for a recap of what went down during their live performances.
Sundance Head from Team Blake took on the stage. Not sure why, but he chose My Church by Maren Morris. His rendition was awesome and the only way to understand why is for you to watch it.
23-year-old Darby Walker from Team Miley was up next giving her emotional take on Ruby Tuesday. We’re pretty sure Cyrus did the right thing when she saved her from elimination during the Live Playoffs. Then Christian Cuevas from Team Alicia did Coldplay’s The Scientist. He dedicated it to his girlfriend. As usual, his performance was fantastic, almost flawless, even. Then Alicia’s save from last week, Sa’Rayah, took center stage as she did Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer. Looks like that’s exactly what she needs right now as she goes through some tough times in her life.
Billy Gilman from Team Adam takes it up a notch by doing Queen’s The Show Must Go On. The crowd was immediately up and about dancing and singing along with him. Amazing! Then comes Austin Allsup from Blake’s team doing Aretha Franklin’s Do Right Woman, Do Right Man. And as some fans have predicted, he nails it. We McDonald is up next and this 17-year old contestant from Team Alicia goes low, low, low pitch on Take Me To Church. Aaron Gibson goes on with Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings which gives fans a peek at his alternative rock style. Despite this song not being so famous, it’s hard not to fall in love with it. Great job!
And the Awesome List Goes On
And what’s The Voice without ever hearing Aerosmith’s undying, immortal, epic (I’m running out of adjectives here) love song Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing? Courtney Harrell was surely worth Blake’s time when he saved her last week. Needless to say, the gal has powerful vocals. Josh Gallagher took so much effort to get a grip when he met his idol Garth Brooks during practice. Fortunately he managed to do just that in order to work on Jason Aldean’s Why. He takes his coach’s advice when he gets on stage. Everyone loved him.
Ali Caldwell from Team Miley is up next with Leonard Cohen’s Did I Ever Love You. The beloved singer passed away recently. Even though this song wasn’t really her fave, she does her best to make the most out of it and she did. She’s even called the ‘new frontrunner’ by Shelton. And last but not the least is Adam’s save last week, Brendan Fletcher, who gives his all when he sang Whipping Post. With that kind of energy and enthusiasm, who can say he doesn’t deserve to be called a real performer?
Tune in on the November 15 episode because one of these powerful vocals will leave the stage and let the 11 remaining battle it out. Vote for your artists to make sure they stay in the competition.
