Fans are anticipating the Vikings Season 4 midseason premiere which has been previously reported to take place this month of July. However, recent posts suggest that viewers of the show will have to wait a little longer as the release is expected to happen some time later this year.
It can be recalled that the midseason finale aired last April, and since then, fans have been wanting to witness the return of the show. However, contrary to previous claims that it is going to air this July, it seems that will not be the case, as some reports claim that the show will return in the Fall.
The History Channel has not been so generous in giving out information about the premiere, but the rumor of a Fall release started when a fan asked the network about the release date and was answered, through their social media account, that fans should watch out for it later this year.
Meanwhile, the Vikings Season 4 midseason premiere, has been speculated to pick up where it has left off. Back in the midseason finale, fans witnessed the epic battle between Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and his brother Rollo (Clive Standen) and a time leap that introduced the Viking king?s grown up sons.
The episode ended with the revelation that the long-lost Ragnar has been staying in Wessex. He is going to return to Kattegat and challenge his sons and people to kill him if any of them wanted to be the king. In that way, he might be able to reclaim his throne.
Furthermore, in a recent post by the actors on Instagram, it seems like the upcoming continuation of the fourth season is going to be bloody. Alex Anderson, who is playing the role of Ivar the Boneless, recently shared a photo on his social media account featuring blood on the ground, teasing that it is going to be a mess.
Apparently, Anderson was not the only one who teased the fans with a photo on Instagram. Actor Jasper Paakkonen (Halfdan the Black) also posted on his account showing him and co-actor Peter Franzen (King Herald Finehair) covered with blood and dirt.
