Vikings Season 4 Episode 11 is still untitled but there are many predictions and spoilers coming our way. In Episode 10 of the fourth installment of the Vikings, we saw the two brothers get at it in Paris. Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and Rollo (Clive Standen) duked it out in an epic battle in Paris. A drugged-up Ragnar ended up losing and turned tail to Kattegat with his injured ex-wife Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), son Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) and friend Floki (Gustaf Skargard).
Sailing back from Paris to Kattegat takes time. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Vikings creator Michael Hirst said that it took them give or take a couple of years. So, Ragnar came back to a different Kattegat from when he left. He came back as a somewhat hated and definitely beaten man. His reputation was marred.
In this time jump, we have seen that Ragnar?s sons have grown. They too look as if they were not pleased with his return. Ragnar then challenged his sons to kill him and take his place as king.
What will happen in the Vikings Season 4 Episode 11? We don?t know as of yet but here are some informed predictions doing their rounds in the internetsphere.
Vikings Season 4 Episode 11 is likely the start of the interesting dynamics between Ragnar and his sons. One theory that pops up is that Ragnar will come down hard on Bjorn and challenge him to kill him to claim the throne. According to International Business Times, this will be the focus of Episode 11. Bjorn will be forced to choose between kingship and his father but he?ll most likely end up exploring the Mediterranean, Africa and Spain. Historically, Bjorn Ironside did explore these lands and became more famous than Ragnar.
Another theory concerns Ivar the Boneless. According to Hirst ?in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, historically, Ivar is credited for leading attacks against England and Ireland. This made him one of the most famous Vikings in history. Hirst added that Ivar perhaps may be the famous Viking in history because of this feat. Movie News Guide theorized that Ivar could challenge for the throne of Kattegat in the midseason premiere.
Because of the time jump, the story needed an older version of Ragnar and, of course, his sons. Four new actors ?now grace the show and they may be the next faces in the next phase of the Vikings–should the producers decide to kill off Ragnar.
The four new actors casted are Alex H?gh Andersen as Ivar, Marco Isl? as Hvitserk, Jordan David Lindstrom as Sigurd and Patrick Smith as Ubbe. Ludwig will continue to play the role of Bjorn.
As Vikings fans know, the mid-season premiere is still up in the air. But according to some reports, the air date of Vikings Season 4 Episode 11 will be on July 7, 2016 on History Channel.
