A new development is set to take place in the upcoming Once Upon A Time Season 6 and this will surely bring so much joy to all the loyal fans of the series. Rumor has it that the hit fairytale-themed drama series will be back to its original cut per episode, a longer and more satisfying show.
It should be noted that the previous seasons of the ABC hit TV series were usually just limited to 11 episodes but each divided to two parts. But now with Once Upon A Time Season 6 nearing, fans will be treated to a lot more this time as the production team decided to return the former format of the show, which happened to be a 22-episode long season.
The speculation was later turned into verified information when the series? creator himself Adam Horowitz confirmed it during the ATX Television Festival where he joined the panel for the promotion of his other project, Dead of Summer, which will be released on June 28.
Horowitz bared to Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming show will be veering away from its traditional length. It must be known that the original format of Once Upon A Time is deeply anchored to the plot, which can change the storyline, according to another show creator Eddy Kitsis.
?It?s not going to be ?Hyde comes to town, we fight with him for 10 episodes, and then in the winter finale he dies and we move on. We are? going back to that Season 1 mentality of small-town stories and smaller arcs,? the creator revealed.
Just to remind everyone, the five seasons of the series have already covered a huge number of fantasies already which include stories from Neverland, Witch of Oz, Frozen, Witches, Maleficent, Cruella and Ursula. It had also already touched on the Dark Swan and Hades from The Underworld.
Meanwhile, the previous installment capped with the Charmings, along with Hook and Zelena being trapped in the realm of untold stories. It was also seen in the finale episode of the fifth season, Regina defeating the evil inside of her.
