Uncharted 4 Single-Player DLC Features Sam, To Have Standalone Release [Rumor]

By on

Fans have been clamoring for Uncharted 4 single-player DLC ever since they finished the campaign. While the game’s multiplayer is enjoyable, the series lives and breathes through solo playthroughs. Now, an alleged leak was recently shared, stating that we would see a glimpse of the game’s first story DLC during the PlayStation Experience.

But how can the story continue? The epilogue of the game makes it clear that Nathan Drake has retired. Well, the game’s ending also shows that Sam and Sully still go on adventures together. Furthermore, the leak has stated that Sam will be the main focus for the upcoming single-player expansion DLC. It’s nice, but is hardly a surprise.

PlayStation Experience Surprise?

According to Jaffameister, the Uncharted 4 single-player DLC will be a part of the big PlayStation Experience event. According to the leaked blog, the reveal will have one gameplay segment and a number of cutscenes between Sam and Sully. The video will supposedly end with the name of the DLC .

Like the DLC of the Last of Us, this will supposedly be a standalone expansion. Players that have not bought Uncharted 4 will be able to download it and play it. Fans that pre-ordered the game should be able to get it once it comes out.

The Sam Old You

The Uncharted 4 single-player DLC will not be the first time players can control Nathan’s brother. Early on in the game’s campaign, players were able to control Sam during his breakout in a flashback. Spoiler alert, this was a false story, but players were still able to play as the character.

While it’s a beloved series, the Uncharted games have never had astounding gameplay mechanics. Gameplay is standard third-person shooting, mixed with Prince of Persia-esque platforming and blockbuster movie style set-pieces. That doesn’t mean it’s not fun, as the game received a ton of positive reviews when it came out. It’s still one of the best PS4 exclusives out there.

Uncharted 4 is available now on the PlayStation 4. Players that have yet to try out the other games can also purchase Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4. ?
