After numerous delays, Uncharted 4: A Thief?s End has finally gone gold. For those unfamiliar with the term, ?gone gold? means that the production phase of a video game is finally done and the publishers will start handling its release.
Neil Druckmann, one of the developers in Naughty Dog, confirmed the news on Twitter. Druckmann showed off an unfinished version of the game?s physical disc, which presumably has the full Uncharted 4 experience on it.
Soon after, Naughty Dog got on the Twitter fun, showing an image of the highly anticipated game being loaded on a PlayStation 4 console. It?s something fans can?t wait to do once the game comes out, so it?s definitely a mouth-watering teaser, to say the least.

Now that Uncharted 4 has gone gold, there will be no further delays. The Uncharted 4 release date is currently set for May 10. It was originally solicited for 2015 and since then, the game has received various release dates that didn?t stick, including ones in March and April.
Fans should be pleased with this development. Uncharted is currently one of the best PlayStation exclusive IPs out right now, garnering a huge fan base, thanks to its summer blockbuster tone and thrilling set pieces. The game?s characters also helped, which have wormed their way into the hearts of many PlayStation users.
Uncharted 4: A Thief?s End is set to be the biggest title in the series, with some even theorizing that it might be the last installment of the acclaimed franchise. After all, a subtitle like A Thief?s End is incredibly ominous, so this might be the last expedition of Nathan Drake.
Gamers with a PlayStation 4 will be able to pick up Uncharted 4: A Thief?s End on May 10. In the meantime, before the Uncharted 4 release date, anyone in the mood for adventure can pick up the recently released Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which is a collection of the first three games of the series.
