More Uncharted 4 Multiplayer news have been released after its reveal trailer was shown at Paris Games Week 2015. Developer Naughty Dog has now announced more details on what we can expect in the multiplayer aspect of the game once it releases exclusively for the PS4 on March 18, 2016
Naughty Dog is planning to implement vehicles in the multiplayer aspect of the game in the future, VG 24/7 reported. ?I can tell you for ship we will not have vehicles, but it is something we?re hoping to tackle in the future,? lead Uncharted 4 multiplayer designer Robert Cogburn said during a Q&A forum. This statement surfaced after Cogburn was asked why there was a lack of vehicles despite numerous new features in the game such as mysticals and side-kicks, the report said.
The multiplayer will implement microtransactions upon release, however, it will not be a pay-to-win game. Cogbum told GameSpot that no gameplay items will be available via microtransactions. ?Microtransactions will be available at launch, but we?ll have no gameplay items that will be gated through microtransactions,? Cogburn said.
Don?t expect to revisit previous multiplayer maps in U4 as there will be no rehashed areas, VG24/7 reported. Naughty Dog is targeting for 8 maps to be included in the game, the report said.
Expect a silky smooth multiplayer experience. The multiplayer will run at fps but with a 900p resolution, Eurogamer reported. This performance is different in the single player mode as it will run at 1080p but at fps.
No Dedicated Servers
Cogburn said the multiplayer will not use dedicated servers as it opts instead for a client host, VG24/7 reported. ?We?ll still have a host, it?s still peer-to-peer,? Cogburn said.
Uncharted 4 will be released on March 18, 2016 exclusively for the PS4. Those who are currently at Paris Games Week 2015 can play the demo of U4 MP. Those who purchased Uncharted: The Nathan Drake collection will be granted access to the U4 MP beta which starts from December 4 to 13 this year.
