Ultra Street Fighter 4 Digital Upgrade Won’t Have Updated Trials Mode for New Characters at Launch

By on

Capcom, makers of Ultra Street Fighter 4, said that their game won?t include a previously announced update to trials for any of the new characters when the digital upgrade launches this coming June 3.

Street Fighter 4?s Trial mode was designed to serve as a sort of crash course for character?s capabilities. It offers a series of different challenges where players must execute a series of specific moves, combos or setups.

All the original cast of characters introduced in Street Fighter 4 have Trials. The characters though that were introduced in the Arcade Edition such as Yun, Yang, Oni, and Evil Ryu, don?t have them. Capcom previously announced plans to implement a change in Ultra by adding Trials for these characters as well as the newcomers of the game like Hugo, Rolento, Elena, Poison, and Decapre.

Capcom has clarified that the new trials won?t be available when the digital upgrade is launched, but they asked fans to stay tuned because they will have more news to share about the topic shortly after the digital upgrade version is released.

This latest version of the game will first arrive as a digital upgrade for owners of the Super Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade edition games. North American game owners will get the upgrade starting on June 3 while international owners of the game will get the upgrade on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 4.

All in one retail versions of the game will start being available on August 5. There will be a PS3 and Xbox 360 version. The PS3 will also have a digital bundle. The bundle and upgrade will both hit Steam on August 8.

The latest version of Street Fighter 4 will let players access battle logs for offline matches as well as be able to play in training mode while waiting for any online battle requests.

For people who preorder the game, they will receive alternate costumes for the new Ultra Street Fighter 4?s new characters namely: Medieval Hugo, Jungle Elena, Pirate Poison, Wizard Rolento, and Gladiator Decapre.
