Here are your UFC Fight Night Ottawa Results. The arguably most anticipated UFC Fight Night headliner is over and it looks like Stephen ?Wonderboy? Thompson is on his way to challenge for the UFC Welterweight Title.

Thompson won the very technical fight with 50-45, 50-45 and 48-47 on the judges? scorecards. In the post-fight interview, Thompson expressed that he was surprised by how Rory MacDonald came out with his stance and how he was ready for the Octagon-unique angles that Thompson brings. He revealed that from then on, he thought that instead of expecting a war he was in for a chess match. Indeed, the fight was a very technical one and Thompson came on top.

Here’s the post-fight interview with Wonderboy and Rory MacDonald:

In the co-headliner, Donald Cerrone came out very strong in the early going–something that we have not seen too much out of him. And whether it was a factor or not, he secured a TKO win via punches in the 2:35 mark of the 3rd round.

Cerrone was attacking the head, body and legs of Patrick Cote seemingly at will. He also looks big and powerful moving up to the UFC Welterweight division, not to mention that Patrick Cote fought as a Middleweight and challenged MMA legend Anderson Silva at one point.

Apparently, Cerrone did not lose any speed and the new weight cutting procedures might have helped a bit in keeping him fresh for his fight. This is arguably one of Cerrone?s best performances in his career. In the post-fight interview, he revealed that he would like to be on the historic UFC 200 card may the fight be in the lightweight or welterweight division. Cowboy is always game.
