UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Alvarez is going to be on Thursday, July 7. It will start off the three-day mixed martial arts marathon in Las Vegas that will culminate with the UFC 200. It is headlined by UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos and title-challenger Eddie Alvarez with a UFC gold on the line.

Which of the eight warriors will come out on top? Let?s hear the opinions of some pros.
Misha Cirkunov, a UFC Light Heavyweight athlete, gives the headliner to Dos Anjos. Zach Makovsky, who currently competes in the UFC?s flyweight division, calls the fight for Alvarez even though he believes it will be a close wrestling battle between the two. Aljamain Sterling, a bantamweight prospect, gives Alvarez a good chance in winning the fight. Donald Cerrone gives it to RDA but claims that he would like to see Alvarez winning so that he could get the belt–jokingly but a little half-meant. Cerrone owns a win over Alvarez and has lost to RDA.
The pros think that this fight is a pretty interesting match-up because Alvarez brings some things that could potentially give Dos Anjos some trouble. Here?s a great breakdown by Jack Slack of the fight – Fightland.
Here is a preview of the match with Robin Black on 5 Rounds.
MMAJunkie also ran a reader poll to see how fans see the main card fights of the UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Alvarez will go. The following vote results are as of presstime.
Majority of the fans, a little more than 70 percent, believe RDA will retain the belt. Most think that it will not be that close given the run that Dos Anjos had made by dispatching former champs Benson Henderson and Anthony Pettis, among others. He also has a notable win over Cerrone. ?Alvarez?s last two fights ended with him winning not so impressive split decisions.
Meanwhile, judging from fan sentiments, it will be a toss up between Nelson and Lewis. Both are heavy-handed heavyweights and each has the ability to knock the other out with just one punch. Lewis has 14 knockouts out of his 15 wins under his belt. Nelson also has the same number of knockouts spread across his 21 career wins.
Fans also think that Jouban will give Muhammad his first loss–more than 70 percent in the poll. His Octagon experience would likely earn him a victory against an undefeated UFC newcomer. In the last fight of the main card, fight fans give Duffy the nod. His slick striking and submission skills is expected to carry him over Clarke to earn a win. We last saw him in a unanimous decision loss against Dustin Poirier. Clarke is also returning from a loss against Michael Chiesa.
