Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz exchanged curse words and middle fingers as both came in the weigh-in that took place today before being whisked away by security. Both fighters came in under the weight limit of 170 pounds, McGregor weighed in at 168 pounds, while former lightweight title challenger Diaz weighed at 169. The female title fight, challenger Tate was 135 pounds on the button, while champion Holm, defending her belt for the first time, was a half-pound light at 134.5.
Meanwhile, McGregor will draw a $1 million disclosed purse, a first in UFC history, ESPN cited the Nevada State Athletic Commission. McGregor stands to make much more than that overall as the NSAC figure does not include pay-per-view bonuses, sponsorships or potential Fight Night bonuses from the UFC.McGregor told CNBC during a joint appearance with Diaz that he’d “breeze” past a $10-million payday Saturday. Diaz on other hand is listed to make $500,000 to show with no win bonus.
Female bantamweight champion Holly Holm who signed a contract extension with the UFC in January, is also listed to make $500,000 to show with no win bonus. The purse for her opponent, No. 1 contender Miesha Tate, is $46,000 to show and $46,000 to win.
