Though Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors may have lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals, Under Armour is honoring their pinnacle athlete?s achievement with the UA Curry Back To Back MVP Pack.
The $400 limited edition set that will be released this Friday will feature Curry?s signature sneakers – the Curry One and Curry Two – with both the pairs being housed in a giant shoebox. You can pre-order the Curry ?Back To Back? Pack now on UA.com, but the wide release is June 24.
When Curry made history yet again by being named as the NBA?s MVP for the second year running and by unanimous decision for the first time in league history, Under Armour wasted no time debuting the look of Steph Curry?s new ?MVP Back 2 Back Pack.?
The Curry One comes with patented Charged Cushioning, which helps absorb impact; an AnaFoam upper; a herringbone outsole for improved court feel and grip. The white offering splashes gold on the logo, bottom and the “30” on the tongue, while the theme of the shoe wraps all the way around the back.
The Under Armour Curry 2 has ?MVP? stamped across the tongue making this pair unique with a black and gold colorway. The Curry Two features a SpeedForm tech upper which molds to the wearer?s foot and a Charged midsole. The darker version is more basic, starting with gold up front and fading to black with an eye-catching flecked design near the bottom.
Both pairs feature lists of Curry?s guiding ideas ? FAITH, PASSION, MINDFULNESS, et cetera ? sewn into the inside of the tongues. The pack comes in a sleek commemorative box, to boot.
Curry himself showcased the shoes during the 2016 NBA playoffs as he wore Curry One during Game 5 against the Cavs and pulled out the Under Armour “BACK 2 BACK MVP” Curry 2s for Game 6.
