The Dream Team USA?s run for gold at the Rio Olympics continues Wednesday as they face Argentina in the quarterfinals of the Men?s basketball tournament.
Spain will play European rivals France in another key quarterfinal clash on Wednesday while Croatia and Serbia battle in a Balkan showdown. In the other quarterfinals, Australia, another favorite to possibly upset Team USA in their gold medal run, meets Lithuania.
USA vs. Argentina quarterfinal starts August 17 at 5:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and NBC Sports Network will broadcast the game live in the United States. The live streaming as well as replays of the match can be viewed through NBCOlympics.com.
You can also watch online through NBC Sports Live Extra or by using the NBC Sports Live Extra app for tablets and mobile devices. This, however, requires your cable subscription in order to view the game live.
The viewers in the United Kingdom will be able to view the quarterfinals through BBC and BBC iPlayer, while Australian fans can catch their national team with Seven Network. The viewers in New Zealand can head to Sky TV network for viewing both on television and live streaming.
For the semifinals, the USA-Argentina winner will then face the Spain-France winner on Friday, August 19. On the other side of the bracket, the winners of Serbia-Croatia and Australia-Lithuania will play in the other semifinal, also on Friday.
Should Team USA emerge victorious in beating either France or Spain, the men’s basketball team will begin the medal round at the Olympic Games on Sunday. The Sunday schedule lists the bronze medal match at 10:30 a.m. ET while the final gold medal match showdown begins at 2:45 p.m. ET.
