Trump Climber Video: Watch Man Climb Up Trump Tower In New York

By on

A man climbed the south side of the Trump Tower in Manhattan on Wednesday and it took the police hours before finally arresting the ?Trump climber.? Check out below the video of him trying to go on top of the high soaring building.

According to the police, the man?s name is Steve and he is from Virginia. Although it is still not clear why he climbed the Trump Tower, it seems like it is a self-promotion since the man was carrying a leaflet. Several news agencies were able to cover the incident, and CNN?was able to stream it live on their Facebook page.

Several witnesses confirmed that the man started to climb the tower on the fifth floor, an area open to the public. However, it was not clear as to what floor Steve has gotten to before being apprehended by the police because the climber had avoided them by going sideways every time there was an open window.

After negotiating with the ?Trump Climber,? the police successfully got Steve off the side of the building. ?This is clearly a stunt guy. The guy doesn?t appear to be here to do anything evil,? said an NYPD official.

Meanwhile, prior to the incident, Steve actually uploaded a video on YouTube explaining why he would climb the Trump Tower. It was titled ?Message to Mr. Trump (why I climbed your tower).? The man said on the video that he is an independent researcher ?seeking a private audience? with Donald Trump to discuss an important matter.

He also added that the reason he climbed the tower was to get the attention of the Republican frontrunner because he knew that if he would do that in a conventional way, it would not be a success because Trump is a ?busy man with many responsibilities.? Steve also encourages the people watching his video to help it go viral to reach Trump. Lastly, he wanted everyone to vote for Trump in the 2016 election.

As of now, Donald Trump has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident. But an executive vice president in the Trump Organization, Michael Cohen, has already spoken out. ?This man performed a ridiculous and dangerous stunt. There?s damage to the building and he caused the unnecessary deployment of New York?s Finest to protect his safety and the safety of everyone in the building,? said Cohen in a statement.

The EVP then added he is sure that NYPD had better things to do than with the ?Trump Climber? for he has caused the traffic to shutdown on Fifth Avenue. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
