Toy Story 4 has already entered production. According to Tom Hanks, who is the voice of Woody himself, it is presently in the process of recording lines. During an interview with The Graham Norton Show on Sunday afternoon, Hanks disclosed the news. This news is sure to boost the excitement levels in both children and adults around the world, reported idigitaltimes.com

Replying to the audience’s applause, the Academy Award winner Tom Hanks said, “We’re now recording Toy Story 4,”as per comicbook.com

He continued, “So we’re doing that and it will be out in 2018, so it takes a long time.” Later, he added, “We are working on it right now. I have a recording session on the second of December.”

The actor stated about the challenging recording sessions and the toll it took on his diaphragm.

John Lasseter, a Pixar legend is directing the movie. He has made the first two Toy Story movies as well as Cars, Cars 2 and A Bug’s Life. When the news was first disclosed, Lasseter said in a Disney press release: “We love these characters so much; they are like family to us. We don?t want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what?s gone before. Toy Story 3 ended Woody and Buzz?s story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another Toy Story movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie?and I wanted to direct it myself,? according to bustle.com

Toy Story 4 is the love story of Woody and Bo Peep. As per Lasseter, this movie is putting Bo in the spotlight as it takes us through their unfolding love story. This may very well work as it is a big shift for the franchise which has always focused on platonic love above everything else.

??Toy Story 4 is slated for a June 15, 2018 release. Josh Cooley, the storyboard artist will co-direct alongside Lasseter from a script by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack (?Celeste & Jesse Forever?).
