Top 40 Video Games UK [List]: ‘No Man’s Sky’ Loses Top Spot To ‘F1 2016’; ‘Mario Olympics’ Also Drops Despite Rio Closing Ceremony Cameo

By on

After its release two weeks ago, No Man?s Sky (NMS) quickly took the No. 1 spot in the Top 40 Video Games (UK) chart. However, there seems to be a new favorite in town as F1 2016 takes over the list and has relegated NMS to the second spot.

Just when the gamers in the region thought that NMS has already secured the No. 1 rank on the chart for two consecutive weeks, the F1 2016 happened and stole the limelight from it.

Aside from NMS, GTA V also took a step back on the list. Last week, the game was at the third spot, but now, it has slid down to fifth. On the other hand, it is a different case for Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as it took a huge leap on the chart from the ninth last week up at third.

Meanwhile, the closing ceremony of the Rio Olympics 2016 did not help Mario & Sonic: Rio 2016 Olympic Games to rank up and in fact, it slid down by one spot. For the past week, it was on the 15th spot but in the August 20 chart, it dropped to 16th.

Clearly, it has been a roller coaster ride for several games on the list of Top 40 Video Games (UK), and it is also the same case for the Uncharted 4 as it moved further down the chart. The game was previously at the second spot, but now, it has fallen to ninth. Overwatch, for its part, is able to retain its position sitting at the No. 4 spot. Here, check out the top 20 on the list of UKIE Games Charts:

  • F1 2016
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • Overwatch
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Rocket League
  • FIFA 16
  • DOOM
  • Minecraft: Xbox Edition
  • Call of Duty Black Ops
  • LEGO Marvel Avengers
  • LEGO Jurassic World
  • Star Wars Battlefront
  • Mario & Sonic: Rio 2016 Olympic Games
  • New Super Mario Bros 2

As noted by UKIE, expect more changes in the list next week as several games are scheduled for release. One of the most anticipated ones is Deus Ex Mankind Divided, which according to reports has already received positive reviews and might actually jump to the first spot immediately. If that would be the case, then No Man?s Sky would further move down.
