As the wearable industry continuously soars, Motorola is also making its way towards producing their very own smartwatch ? the Moto 360 Watch.?
Visiting the official website of Motorola, one will notice that they have already posted a page saying ?”IT’S TIME. Moto 360. Coming Summer 2014.” This gives us a hint of what Motorola has in store for us in the coming days.
Meanwhile, before Motorola revealed its latest flagship, the company held a ??Moto 360 Design Face-Off!? competition that invited consumers, designers and developers alike to design their own unique face for Motorola?s new watch.
From about 1,300 submissions, 10 finalists were selected by an experienced judging panel, who carefully and thoroughly examine every single entry to find the best-of-the-best, taking design aesthetic, originality and feasibility into consideration.
?Our panel was impressed by how beautiful, intricate and original all 1300 designs were,? Motorola said.
Tyler Allicock, Jose Azua, Layton Diament, Pawel Hanusowski, Dave McCarthy, Aramis Negron, David Pascual, Will Rodriguez, Paul Stringer, and Jason Wang were named as the top 10 finalists.
Moreover, from the top 10, Motorola invited their fans to take part in choosing which among the designs they think is the best, simply by the number of most +1?s.
?We are excited to announce David Pascual as the winner of the Moto 360 Design Face-Off! He wins one of the very first Moto 360s and the chance for his design to be featured on the watch,? Motorola announced.
David Pascual?s design displays calendar events, notification widgets, and provides status information for basic watch functions such as charging, alarm, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connection.
It could be remembered that Google showed off the new Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch at the Google I/O developer conference. And like the LG G Watch and the new Samsung Gear Live, Moto 360 will come with Android Wear.
However, there is no mention yet of the specifications of the Moto 360. But you shouldn?t worry because we will let you know as soon as we get them. So stay tuned with us!
