Tom Hardy who was at the Toronto film festival for his movie Legend, was bombarded with?questions about his sexuality. Though the actor is married to actress Charlotte Riley, he was?asked this question.
The film sees Hardy playing real-life East London gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray.?Though rumors suggest both of the Kray twins had gay experiences, Reggie in particular is?regarded as having been bisexual.
Refinary 29?reports that the question the journalist asked was that, ?In the film, your?character Ronnie is very open about his sexuality,? reporter Graeme Coleman told Hardy.??But given interviews you?ve done in the past, your own sexuality seems a bit more?ambiguous. Do you find it hard for celebrities to talk to media about their sexuality??
To which Tom replied, ?What on earth are you on about?” Coleman repeated his odd?question to which Hardy then bluntly answered: “I don’t find it difficult for celebrities to talk?about their sexuality”. Tom replied with a death stare: “Are you asking me about my?sexuality?” With the reporter answering “sure”, Tom then asked “why” and when no answer?was given Tom gave an icy: ?Thank you,? reports Glamour Magazine.
According to Pink News UK, a similar situation had taken place earlier too.?In 2008, the Dark Knight Rises star revealed he had enjoyed sexual relationships with other?men in his youth.??I?ve played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality, but now that?I?m in my thirties, it doesn?t do it for me,? he said at the time.??I?m done experimenting but there?s plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man,?especially gay men that I need in my life.
Oops! Look?s like someone has pressed the wrong button here. We are sure, the reporter will?be much more careful the next time around he asks Tom something like this.
