Titanfall for Xbox 360 will be updated, but only after the Xbox One and PC versions receive the enhancements and improvements.
This has been confirmed by Blizzard team, in fact, in the official announcement released, they said that updates for the Xbox 360 will naturally follow behind similar updates for the PC and Xbox One.
Blizzard said that the difference in the timing of the release of Titanfall for the platforms was decided this way because more time was needed to finish Titanfall for the Xbox 360.
Blizzard said that Respawn must first finish their additions and improvements for the Xbox One and PC, and then afterwards Bluepoint will grab the latest and update the Xbox 360 version.
“We?re working with Respawn and Bluepoint to streamline the process and close the gap, allowing Xbox 360 updates to be published as closely as possible to Respawn?s updates.”
Also, one of the contributing factors is that the Titanfall for the Xbox 360 is not made by Respawn. It is being handled by Blueprint. A few days ago, Blizzard confirmed that Bluepoint will support them in doing the Xbox 360 version of the game.
“We?re pleased to confirm that Bluepoint continues their partnership with us to support the Xbox 360 version. We have them following Respawn?s lead bringing updates and improvements to the Xbox 360,” Blizzard said, adding that the free updates will include further enhancements to Private Matches and more as well as paid DLC including the upcoming release of Titanfall: Expedition.
Blizzard said that as of now, the Bluepoint team is bringing over changes in the Xbox One?s Content Update 2 while also working on the Expedition DLC. The team said that they have asked Bluepoint to split the CU2 into two parts, which includes the update to the Gooser challenge.
The upcoming Titanfall DLC, Expedition, will hit the Xbox One and PC in May, while those playing the Xbox 360 version of the game will get it in June.
