Upcoming movies from Marvel are rumored to surprisingly start production in Australia. Recent reports have stated Disney may have an appeal in filming both ?Thor: Ragnarok? and ?Captain Marvel.? What made Disney apparently interested in a new location is there supposedly ?great experience? filming ?Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales? in Australia, and would like to film more movies there, according to Cinemablend.
?The big bosses were very pleased throughout the year it took to shoot out here and now they?re looking at bringing out one of the Marvel films,? a ?Pirates 5? technical specialist, who remained anonymous, said in an interview with Yahoo! ?It was a great experience for the studio who were able to familiarize themselves with the set-up at Village Roadshow (pictures) and the crews here,? he said. ?They were also able to work across a lot of different locations which has saved them scouting for the Marvel movie.?
Recent reports also suggested that Disney?s move for shooting in Australia would be a ?cost-cutting? move in their part, especially with Australia?s ?ideal shooting locations.? So if Disney and Marvel really plan to shoot in Australia, then production would begin as early as March 2016 for Thor: Ragnarok and sometime in 2017 for ?Captain Marvel,? shared by Cinemablend.
