The very first expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been announced by CD Projekt Red.
The upcoming expansion will be called Hearts of Stone and it will provide around 10 hours of new game content, this includes new characters, monsters, romance options and added storyline. This will also introduce the new Runewords system. Hearts of Stone will set on No Man’s Land and the Redanian city of Oxenfurt and will focus on Geralt being hired to eliminate a bandit captain called Olgierd von Everec, who some believed that he has the power of immortality. Aside from the story quests, you will be to recruit a band of break-in artists and a batch of new monsters and creatures to slay and hunt, plus you be partying with a ghost. It has also been confirmed that you can play the Hearts of Stone missions in any course of the main game, as long as you are above level 30.
The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Expansion will be available digitally for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for $19.99. You can also purchase the limited edition boxed pack which includes the download code for the expansion, two physical decks of the Gwent card game, a Gwent card game guide, Gwent tokens and the collector?s box. For those who purchased the Expansion pass, they can purchase the Gwent card decks separately by accessing this site.
Hearts of Stone is one of the two confirmed expansions for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the other expansion will be called Blood and Wine and will promise to have more than 20 hours of added game-time. CD Projekt Red has also provide 16 DLCs for free, which include a ton of costumes, side quests and the New Game Plus mode, depending on your platform, you can download them either on the Steam page, Xbox store and PlayStation store.
